The CARE Collaboration is excited to announce an open call for members to join our Trainee Advisory Group! This is a unique opportunity for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to contribute to advancing knowledge and practices in parenting, caregiving, and child attachment—ultimately enhancing the well-being of children worldwide.
Why Join the Trainee Advisory Group?
Members of the Trainee Advisory Group will:
- Provide input to guide CARE Collaboration’s project activities, with a focus on capacity building and knowledge mobilization.
- Serve as ambassadors for the CARE Collaboration, engaging peers and promoting participation in project activities.
- Contribute insights to ensure project goals align with trainees’ needs and priorities.
- Collaborate on reviewing key materials, documents, and approaches for knowledge dissemination.
- Represent trainee interests at strategic events, conferences, and engagement opportunities.
Who Should Apply?
We are seeking graduate trainees (Master’s, PhD) and postdoctoral fellows with a focus on child development, attachment, or caregiving. Applicants should demonstrate:
- Interest in research, applied practice, policy, or community engagement related to child attachment.
- Skills in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles.
- Passion for supporting trainee learning and capacity-building initiatives.
Diversity is at the heart of CARE Collaboration. We encourage applications from individuals across various geographical regions, disciplines, and demographic backgrounds.
Commitment
- Term: Minimum of 2 years, with an option to extend.
- Meetings: Twice per year, typically in November and April (approximately 1.5–2 hours per meeting).
- Additional responsibilities may include document reviews, participant engagement, and involvement in the annual CARE Collaboration meeting.
