The CARE Collaboration is pleased to announce an open call for members to join our Practitioner Advisory Group! This is a unique opportunity for professionals in fields related to child development, parenting, mental health, and caregiving to provide critical input on translating research into practice and improving outcomes for children and families worldwide.

Why Join the Practitioner Advisory Group?

As a member, you will:

  • Provide input on practitioner engagement strategies and contribute to shaping CARE Collaboration’s project goals.
  • Share insights from your professional experience to guide research translation and practical application.
  • Promote CARE Collaboration’s initiatives and outputs through your professional networks and at strategic events.
  • Review and refine key project materials to ensure they are relevant and actionable for practitioners.
  • Represent the needs of practitioners and uphold principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).

Who Should Apply?

We are seeking experienced practitioners working in fields such as:

  • Child development and attachment
  • Parenting and caregiving
  • Mental health, education, or family therapy
  • Pediatrics or child welfare
  • Social work and community engagement

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A passion for translating research into practice to address knowledge gaps.
  • Experience in multi-sectoral collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Skills in communication, teamwork, and networking.
  • Commitment to EDI principles and improving services for children and families.

Commitment

  • Term: Minimum of 2 years, with the option to extend.
  • Meetings: Twice per year, typically in November and April (approximately 1.5–2 hours per meeting).
  • Additional responsibilities may include reviewing documents and contributing to strategic discussions.
